Everybody has money stuff.

Balances they don’t want to share with their partners. Raises they’re afraid to ask for. Purchases they feel bad about. Worry that there won’t be enough. Guilt, even, for having more than others.

They’re made to think the problem is external. If only they had more money, more apps, more credibility, more productivity, more stuff.

Or worse, there’s something wrong with them. They must lack willpower, discipline, and financial literacy. Or maybe they’re doomed to financial incompetence because of their family history.

Usually, none of that is true.

Ease is not an external condition.

You have to access it from within first.

There’s a reason why budgeting tools, bigger paychecks, or high-visibility opportunities don’t neatly translate to a sense of financial stability and security for so many people.

It’s not a lack of willpower or motivation. It’s nothing wrong with you.

You’re worthy of more compassion. Because there’s so much beneath the surface of patterns like overworking, overspending, or avoiding making money moves.

The roots of these behaviors are cultural. And they’re so deeply embedded that it’s hard to see how our self-worth has been distorted.

Meanwhile, we’re told we have to be more disciplined or achieve more before we can justify getting support to change things. But that just keeps us running on the same treadmill, trying to prove ourselves.

So let’s break the cycle.

Instead of waiting for external circumstances to change, let’s create the grounded growth and stability you’re worthy of now.

You don’t have to wait. Because this work changes everything.

Money Repatterning
offers a path to freedom.

Awareness of what’s beneath the surface of our money struggles helps us discover who we truly are.

We gain freedom. From shame. From guilt.
From culturally-imposed biases, beliefs, and values.
From having to prove and perform our self-worth.

This is how we break generational cycles.

And begin to express more of ourselves and our values through our creativity, our time, and our money.

That is our work together.

My Method

How I help you create lasting change

I call my method Whole Person Money Repatterning, because it attends to your entire money system: internalized biases and cultural beliefs, emotional obstacles, and financial flows (aka, budgets, expenses, desires, and income streams).

This is key, because if you want to shift your earning and spending patterns, you have to first gain insight into what drives those patterns, and then work with your nervous system to support a different way of being. That’s why the result of using this method is not just less stress and more money.

It’s greater freedom to be you.

Earn without depleting yourself

Spend without betraying yourself.

Save without denying yourself.

The Pillars of Money Repatterning

My method revolves around three pillars that together, create a sturdy foundation for ease with money.
It takes time to develop yourself in all three to truly unlearn old patterns and install the ones you want for yourself.

PILLAR 1
SEE YOURSELF CLEARLY

  • Discern your true values as you clear away cultural constructs and protective patterns you’ve internalized.

  • Know where your money comes from, where it goes, and why — relieving stress and empowering you to make changes.

  • Gain insights, self-compassion, and a greater ability to access creativity, confidence, and solutions in any moment.

PILLAR 2
PRACTICE NEW PATTERNS

  • Practice responding to money challenges, uncertainty, and opportunities intentionally, not reflexively.

  • Build confidence to make big decisions, have meaningful money conversations, and ask for what you want.

  • Give yourself what you need to enjoy life and do the work you feel called to do at the highest level — without feeling guilty.

PILLAR 3
PLAN TO EXPAND

  • Feel grounded enough to see the big picture, and learn how to align your steps today with the future you want.

  • Set up flexible, streamlined, and custom-to-you systems for managing, budgeting, and investing your money.

  • Be supported in making smart decisions and staying focused on what genuinely matters to you.

I’m Erica Ando.

Your Money Coach,
and not your average money expert.

I understand your choices, because I’ve made them too.

I’m not only a credentialed somatic practitioner and mindfulness teacher who’s mentored dozens of non-traditional earners, artists, and heart-centered business owners over the years.

I’m also an artist, designer, arts writer, and curator who’s earned an income every which way. I’ve built businesses, freelanced, sold design work internationally, and experienced every extreme when it comes to work, time, and money.

I know how hard it is to show up as yourself when money is a source of pain. And I believe it doesn’t always have to be that way.

MY EXPERTISE

The wisdom behind Money Repatterning

My coaching method is informed by extensive training in multiple disciplines, diverse career experience, and successfully helping dozens of coaching clients over the years.

I bring it all together because creating ease with money is not just about sticking to the right budget or thinking abundant thoughts. It’s about the whole embodied human experience.

To facilitate lasting change, we need to process emotions through the body, and access feeling states that allow us to do the things we want with more ease, according to our true values.
That’s freedom.

Here’s a closer look at what I bring to the table:

  • I’m a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Method Practitioner. I’ve been practicing this somatic framework since 1999 when it helped me heal from a car accident. My intensive 4-year training informs the way we work with your nervous system so that you can more easefully confront challenges.

  • I’m a longtime mindfulness practitioner and soon-to-be Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, trained by Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield. I bring forward mindfulness and loving awareness meditations to help you cultivate self-compassion, quiet the noise of other peoples’ opinions, and get to know your true self.

  • I have a Certification in Integrative Hypnosis, which I draw upon to help create states of calm where you are able to confront difficult situations and gain deeper awareness.

  • I completed the Art of Money Mentorship Program with Bari Tessler,  which has given me a robust understanding of the conditioned responses many of us have to money, and a way of helping you uncover and unlearn any beliefs you’ve internalized.

  • I’ve taken courses on personal and business finance and investing since 1997. I’ve always been interested in money, even though as an artist I wasn’t supposed to be. And now I adapt those practical tools for non-traditional earners, without the judgements about your lifestyle or career choice.

  • I have a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts, an MFA in Sculpture, and a BFA in Sculpture, so I know what it means to be dedicated to your craft even when the market for it is uncertain — and can help you think creatively about how to balance that pursuit with a need to earn a living.

Let’s find out who you are underneath all
the outside money noise.

And set that person free.
